the buenzli
competitions |
Just like in the past years,
we bring you a lot of great competitions. We have
a Demo Compo, a 64k
Intro Compo aswell as a 4k
Intro Compo, a Tracked
Music Compo, a Streamed
Music Compo, a Graphics Compo,
a Wild Compo, an OHP
Compo, a Surprise Compo
and some Fun Competitions announced directly at
the partyplace. Further, we have the
Alternative Competition which is there for
platforms which don't fit our hardware
specifications (ie. C64, Amiga, Mac and other
non-PC platforms). |
general
rules |
There are some general
rules about the compo, please make sure
you read them:
- If a competition has less
than 3 entries, we might cancel it (or pool
it together with another competition).
- Entries have to be handed
in or uploaded until the given deadline for
each compo.
- Entries that don’t
match any of the rules listed here or violate
any laws (especially copyright and protection
of minors laws) will not be taken into the compos
(„disqualified“). By entering an
entry the competitor assures that by doing so
he does not violate any third party’s
right or law.
- The rules may be modified
any time by the Buenzli staff.
- We are allowed to do a preselection
in every competition (eg. if there are too many
entries) based on the subjective impression
by a to-be-formed jury
- We will release every entry
at the party (upload to scene.org and various
other FTP sites) unless the competition where
your entry was supposed to take part in is cancelled
or your entry has been preselected/disqualified.
- Creators of entries should be visitors at Buenzli (to give us the possibility to contact them in case of troubles). Due to a stupid error, we stated to accept email submission. Actually, we have decided to not allow them - but now it's too late to stop from it. We kindly request you to submit your entry through someone you know who's coming to Buenzli 13. If that's not possible and you already started/finished/planned your entry, we of course won't alienate you and kindly request you to contact us on how to submit and deadline info.
- We do public voting!
- You should follow KB's
rules for bigscreen productions

the
compo machines |
For all competitions, we
supply the following hardware:
You'll have the possibility to do testruns on
the hardware. The profile of the machines could
still improve, the list above demarks the minimum.
When submitting your entry, you'll have to supply
on which machine you'll want it to run on.
If for any reason you need a different setup,
please supply your own hardware (C64, Amiga, Consoles,
Mac, Linux, ...). Be sure that the hardware you
supply has either a VGA-output, a cinch or scart
connector to connect to the beamer. |
